I bought some miracle noodles. I think they are pretty good. I ate them with spaghetti. The have NO CALORIES, so what they lack/add in flavor, they make up for in ZERO calories... LOL

I was thinking of making my own kinda soup. I am trying to stay low in the cals, and as close to liquids as possible... so, I was thinking of some chicken broth (plus the doctor I work with has a chicken soup protein available, so I'll add a scoop of that for added protein), and add the shirataki noodles...

Does this break any rules? They are made from a plant that is complete soluble fiber. I am still experimenting with them, but they are very satisfying to me.

You can read about them HERE.

AWESOME!!

Ok ~ So, I figured, looking at the soups for days 1 and 2, these noodles would be acceptable... and I just hafta tell you. I just had the best, most filling chicken noodle soup!!! And here are the stats: 100 cal, 13g Pro, .5g Fat. 11g Carb.

I used 1/2 pack of the miracle noodles, a can of chicken broth mixed with a scoop of Prescriptfit protein chicken soup powder (it is pricey, but good. I work with Dr. Owen. The ONLY reason I don't use more of his protein powders is cause of the high sugar content). Now, if I would have only used the noodles and chicken broth, it would have been a grand total of ZERO calories!!!

So yummy, warm, and now I am STUFFED! I can make it the rest of the day on just shakes!

WOOWHOO!!!!

Thanks for the info on the Miracle Noodles, Demy. I'd seen some ads for them a while ago and wondered what they tasted like. Sounds like they ad more texture to the dishes than flavor, but texture is a very important part of food, too. I appreciate your sharing the knowledge.

I want to try them but they are a little pricy to me. Wonder if there is some other place to get them cheaper. Let us know if you like them.
