They are absolutely divine! I am amazed how quickly they came in the mail. Both are Royal Worcester which is the most prestigous porcelain makers in England that make these. So, 7.00 each and 4.20 shipping for both. Not too bad cause to send for them new they are around 25.00 each. Here are the pictures:

I am not the best photographer when it comes to things that create glare so the pics don't do them justice at all. The colors are very bright and hand painted so they are lovely. I think the birds are actually prettier than the flowers. On the back of the bird one is a single brown wren and on the back of the flower one is a single small pink rose.

Thanks again Christine for the heads up. Can anybody guess what I am having for breakfast tomorrow???????

No, they don't break. I remember the ones my grandmother had. As long as they are good porcelain, no problem.

These are beauties, celadon! *wink* *Wink* *nod* *nod*
I have two matching ones! So hey... I'll have coddled eggs for brekkies
tomorrow morning too!
ps... egg coddler tips/ NEVER twist off the lid using the ring for leverage.
set them on a towel when they've just come out of the boiling water...
they are hardy to quick temp changes but not THAT quick!

I figure that since my children are now older, maybe they won't break them! <heres to hoping!> I am just happy that I can still find pleasure in the simple preparation of food...I used to love to cook...it has gotten somewhat boring lately, but have been spicing it up with some recipes here...and things like little dishes I read on another post. I cannot wait to add these to the mix!

Sure they do, Sandi... you can adjust how long you leave them in the boiling water.
So I'd say maybe 10 mins for the kind of warm wonderful, fully cooked egg you want!
Love mine!
